Michael Mulvhill, MD

Dr. Michael Mulvihill is presently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. He received his BA in neurosciences from Pomona College in Clarmont, California. He then matriculated to Duke University School of Medicine where he received honors in several of his clerkships, followed by completion of a General Surgery residency and a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Duke University. Dr. Mulvihill has a wealth of peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters to date. His emphasis is on end state heart and lung disease which motivates him to bring the latest evidence and techniques to a patient-centered approach in order to partner with patients to help them restore function, feel better, regain an ability to pursue their activities, and spend time with the important people in their lives.
